calendar09:00 Sunday, 02 August 2026 to 15:30 Friday, 07 August 2026

Junior Performance Camp (week 2) August 2nd (pm) - 7th (Sunday to Friday) The Junior Performance Camp are aimed at juniors (14-16) focuses on technical skill development sessions in singles including video analysis and feedback from our world-class coaches. In addition, several sessions during the week will be devoted to land training, including ergo technique, strength and conditioning, core strength and flexibility. The camp may also involve sessions in crew boats. Based at Maiden Castle (Sport & Wellbeing Park), participants will have access to our state of the art indoor rowing tank and ergo gallery. In addition to this, participants will complete water sessions on the River Wear boating from DUBC’s boathouse on the Maiden Castle site. Whilst equipment is provided athletes are encouraged to bring their own boats and blades if they have them. This is to eliminate any familiarisation issues that come with rowing in different equipment. Lunch is included within the cost of the camp (non-residential & residential) We offer both non-residential and residential options with those choosing residential being accommodated at Durham School. Set in its own grounds, adjacent to Durham Cathedral in the very heart of the city, it provides the perfect base to explore Durham. The buildings are very much a 'house' area, with newly refurbished dormitories and bathrooms. Participants can also enjoy the use of common rooms, sports facilities and yard, meals are served in the communal dining room. The residential option includes breakfast and evening meals at Durham School.
